Kellanova Supports Co-op Academies Trust with breakfast boost

Kellanova has strengthened its support for Co-op Academies Trust by providing donations of breakfast cereal during the recent exam season.

The global food company, already a key supporter of school breakfast clubs through partnerships with the Co-op and Magic Breakfast, delivered 180 units of their new high-fibre Oaties cereal to 15 secondary academies across the Trust.

This latest initiative follows a meeting between Kellanova and the Trust’s Community Team, which is working to build relationships with suppliers to benefit students and their families.
The breakfast donation aimed to support students during the exam period by ensuring they start their day with a nutritious meal to help them stay focused.

“This kind of support from Kellanova has made a great difference to our exam support offer,” said Liz Garrity, Head of Community at Co-op Academies Trust.

“Many of our academies offer exam clubs and exam breakfast clubs which help to ensure students are focused and feel supported during this important time so this donation has played a key role in helping our students start their day with the energy and focus they need to succeed.”

“We understand how critical this time is for students’ focus and wellbeing so we're keen to support secondary academies during the exam period by helping with provisions for breakfast clubs.

“We recognise that morning hunger and food insecurity are growing concerns. Education today goes far beyond the classroom, with academies and schools becoming vital community hubs that touch finance, wellbeing, health and more.

“We’re happy to extend our support to Co-op Academies Trust and look forward to developing our relationship with the Trust further.”
