Students add up to success at Trust-wide maths revision days

Year 11 students from across Co-op Academies Trust came together this half term for special maths revision sessions at 1 Angel Square - designed to boost confidence and help them aim high in their GCSE exams.
The Co-op Academies maths team have kicked off the school year by bringing Year 11 students together for a series of targeted maths revision days at 1 Angel Square.
Over three sessions, pupils from every secondary academy took part in interactive workshops focused on key areas of the foundation paper – including ratio, proportion, angles, algebra and probability. The sessions were designed to stretch students aiming for top grades and give them the best chance of achieving their full potential in next summer’s exams.
The events were led by the Trust’s maths specialists, who guided students through problems, shared exam strategies and helped them apply their knowledge to real-life examples. The atmosphere was buzzing, with pupils working collaboratively to solve challenges and build confidence in tricky topics.
The days are part of the Trust’s wider work to raise attainment in maths across all academies, ensuring every student – no matter their background – gets the support they need to succeed. The team plan to run more sessions like this in the summer term.
